Detailed information about features:
Ingleside is a 19th century cottage, in 1.5 acres of very steep hillside overlooking the River Wye with access across the old railway line. Originally stock was driven up the very steep footpath to some grazing land above the cottage. A biomass boiler with accumulator in the barn supplies the cottage, which has a wood fired cooker. There is a woodworking workshop, firewood processor and wood converting sawbench to make beams and planks, charcoal kiln and a solar wood drying unit. I can dimension timber inexpensively and have a great workshop which has buildt up over many years. I also manage 50 acres of woodland in the Forest of Dean and have a charcoal business. There is also a self build oak cruck ban with green oak construction and sheep wool insulation. Water comes from a borehole and spring and there is solar PV. We have chickens, a kitchen garden and a very aggressive cat, so please no dogs!

Getting there:
Park in Redbrookk and then walk over the bridge into Wales, continue walking ½ mile south on old railway line (marked private road). The cottage is up a steep concrete ramp on the right 20 metres after the locked Forestry barrier. It is not possible to find the property on a Sat Nav. Our vehicle access is via locked Forestry Commission gates at Whitebrook, one and a half miles of forestry track, with notice we can arrange to open this gate, but there is very limited parking at our end and 4 wheel drive is required to safely drive up to the cottage.
